If you call RMS a hero of free software, you're protecting a person who has committed pervasive sexual harassment.

You're declaring that code is more important than human beings.

You're declaring that the many well-documented cases of him driving folks out of open source are less important than Emacs.

I don't need to know you.

You don't meet my standards for friendship. Or tolerating.

not rid of RMS yet

Dear, @kushal

i probably have known you for the past few years and dgplug has changed my life so much for the better.

Thank you for this extraordinarily generous decade and a half.

I probably speak for the rest of #dgplug when I say, we are extremely grateful.

I wish you all the wishes I can muster as you soar upwards and onwards

Mastery requires both impatience and patience.

The impatience to have a bias toward action, to not waste time, and to work with a sense of urgency each day.

The patience to delay gratification, to wait for your actions to accumulate, and to trust the process.

@mala This is amazing.

Although, I have very limited experience programming microprocessors (mostly for academics), but you need not be a genius to awe at the sheer simplicity of the code. Thanks for sharing!

"The stress in his voice was audible, but only later would the two men learn how bad things really were. In that critical moment, hurtling like a lawn dart toward the surface of the moon, the Apollo guidance computer had crashed."
